I have been taking metalwork and jewelry classes since I was 12, at the 92nd Street Y. I took a break while away at college, and came back to it when I returned to the city. Over the years I have learned many techniques and skills from multiple instructors and have since developed my own style and preferences for my work. I continue to take classes there and highly recommend them to anyone interested.
The pieces here are my own, as well as the photographs, and are only for display purposes. They are not for sale. I take inspiration from nature and things around me. Metalworking can be both exact, and organic, at the same time. A piece is something that needs planning and forethought, but can also be developed as you work to some extent. I thoroughly enjoy the process of making things, and I actually do not wear many of my own creations. My own taste in jewelry is small and simple, but in my work I enjoy details especially, and am devoted to making pieces that are both beautiful and functional.
