MARRIAGE OF METAL WAVE RING

completed: 2015

instructor: Ann Paly Loonan

materials: sterling silver and nickel

This ring uses a technique that makes it appear as though one metal is 'married' to another. In this case, sterling silver compliments nickel, making the difference in their silver colors very apparent. Starting with two sheets of same gauge metal super glued on top of each other, a wave patterned was cut out. This results in four exact pieces that fit together like a jigsaw puzzle when two are flipped over. Two compliment pieces are soldered together and made into a ring band.
