COPPER SPIRAL EARRINGS

materials: copper and gold earring wire

These earrings were made as a very quick project to try out copper forming. They start as a long oval sheet folded in half, and are then hammered out with the chisel side of a riveting hammer, starting from the cener and moving outward. The oval is then unfolded and twisted. Copper, a very malleable metal, also becomes a beatiful red color when heated.
